Free FluxGrips for academia and makers!

We will ship a FluxGrip FG40 — our electropermanent magnetic gripper — completely free of charge to any university or an individual maker on request, conditional on FluxGrip being subsequently featured in academic papers, technical articles, social media, or any other mass media. We made a great product but we need to spread the word with your help.

To claim your free magnets, please email sales@zubax.com, contact us via Telegram, X at us, or post a comment below. Please include a very brief description of what you are researching/building, and where your work will be published. We may ship multiple magnets if your work requires so.

The number of magnets is limited so don’t postpone this.

Hello!

I am CTO of Custodia, an animla tracking and monitoring startup spinoff of KAUST university in Saudi Arabia (https://www.kaust.edu.sa/en/) where I am doing a master degree in Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

I just saw the post in X of the FluxGrip, I watched a review as well in your forum and I think this is a very nice application for our animal tracking collars.

We are making animal tracking collars for wildlife and livestock with environmental restoration purposes. We would like to add the FluxGrip as part of an experimental automated drop off system to disturb the less the animals once the studies and necessity of tracking the animals ends, I am sure this will fit perfectly because it does not consumes power while in resting mode

Please check the images of our trackers in a camel:

This are our pages where we post and we would publish the results of our tracker with the added drop off system using FLuxGrip :

Hi Gilberto! Thank you, we got your email, will respond shortly!

I’d be interested to test out a FluxGrip for CubeSats.

I also do tracking collars.

Hi @CubeSource, that sounds relevant. Please email sales@zubax.com for details!

Hi there, we just sent an email to your team requesting a free sample. We are a robotics group from Wuhan University, China, and have been working on EPM-based UAV docking for a while. The two pictures below show our EPM docking work published in RAL, and our ongoing UAV-quadruped collaboration experiment. Our next step is to use FluxGrip to physically couple the UAV and the quadruped together. Really looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi @Fei506,

Thank you — UAV docking and UAV–quadruped coupling are relevant fits for FluxGrip.

We can provide one FluxGrip FG40 free of charge under the standard sample program terms. In return, we ask that you publish at least two public materials prominently featuring FluxGrip and Zubax — for example a project/research page, technical article, lab update, video, conference/demo note, or social media post. The important point is that FluxGrip is clearly visible and named.

Please email sales@zubax.com with:

  1. Your shipping address
  2. A phone number for the courier
  3. Explicit confirmation that you accept the publication terms above

Once we have these details, we will reserve one unit for you in the next manufacturing batch.

Best regards,
Pavel

Thank you for the quick response! We have already sent all the required details to sales@zubax.com. Could you please confirm via email once you receive it, just so we know it got through? Feel free to reach out if you need anything else.

Hi @Fei506,

We still cannot find your email on our side, including in the accessible sales inboxes. Please resend the details directly to pavel.kirienko@zubax.com; I will also check the spam folder there.

Best regards,
Pavel

Hi Pavel, thank you for checking. We have just resent the email to pavel.kirienko@zubax.com from zhangxh@whu.edu.cn. Please take a look when you get a chance, including the spam folder just in case. Looking forward to your confirmation!
