Komar Reported Current

Dear All,
We are using 6 Komar ESCs in a multirotor, and the reported current readings (i.e. the current readings the ESCs send back in their UAVCAN messages) we got did not make sense.

So we ran a test and found the real DC current going into the ESC is 3 to 4 times higher than the reported one, and that the multiplier isn’t linear and goes down as the current goes up.

This was truly surprising to us.
Can anyone explain?

Thanks

Telega does not measure the DC current directly, as this parameter is not required for motor control. Instead, this value is predicted from the AC system quantities. The DC link current estimates are expected to exhibit a large error when the drive is unloaded, and converge to the minimum at the maximum phase current amplitude.
