Galileo support in Zubax GNSS 2

The European global navigation system - Galileo - has become operational in 2016. Currently, there already are 15 operational satellites in orbit, which means that it is time to upgrade Zubax GNSS 2 with the capability to utilize Galileo signals alongside GPS and GLONASS.

The new firmware version 4.1 has been released yesterday. All new units shipped from now on will be utilizing GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo concurrently, which means that the top-notch positioning performance of Zubax GNSS 2 will be improved even further. All older units that are based on the hardware version 2.2 (released in 2017) can be also retrofitted with Galileo support simply by means of updating their firmware.
